LEADERSHIP FOR PRODUCTIVITY

In 2005 the Best Practice Forum is launching Leadership For Productivity. It is a 3 step programme aimed at you, as a business owner or manager, to help drive business success by developing effective leadership and management skills.

Step 1: Measuring Up
You can find out how your personal performance impacts on your business by carrying out a simple diagnosis, using the 'Doing the Biz' questionnaire. It will help you to review:

  • how much control you have over your business
  • how you affect the people you employ
  • the way you organise the business
  • how you deal with customers
  • how you promote continuous improvement.
It will also help you to devise a personal development plan.

Step 2: Personal Development
You can develop your leadership skills through a 1-day interactive workshop or through a toolkit which you can work through in your own time. Both are designed to help you to:
  • make effective decisions and set goals
  • develop your own personal drive
  • communicate more effectively with others
  • motivate others
  • delegate to others
  • develop appropriate systems and procedures for your business
  • win more business.
Step 3: Personal Rewards and Recognition
You can gain recognition through a nationally accredited qualification (or credits towards one) depending on the development route that you take.
