 HOW IT'S FUNDED 

This programme is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF). The European Social Fund is one of four Structural Funds which is aimed at achieving human resource development and labour market improvement in Europe.

This project is part-funded by ESF Objective 3 which is operational throughout Britain (apart from Objective 1 areas) and aims to support adapting and modernising policies and systems of education, training and employment. In particular it is intended to:
  • tackle long-term unemployment
  • help young people and those at risk from not being able to find work
  • improve training, education and counselling for lifelong learning
  • encourage entrepreneurship and adaptability in the workplace
  • promote equal opportunities and improve the role of women in the workforce
This project fits into Priority 4 (Adaptability and Entrepreneurship) and relates to Measure 1 (Update and improve employees work skills).
